Portland, OR, October 7, 2024 — Nathan Young, founder of MODS PDX and co-founder of HONE, has been selected as a member of the inaugural class of Builders Lab, a new initiative by Terner Labs. The program recognizes and supports visionary leaders who are shaping the future of housing through innovative construction techniques, design solutions, and technology.
Terner Labs’ Builders Lab is a highly-selective accelerator designed to empower a select group of housing entrepreneurs who are tackling the affordability and sustainability challenges facing communities today. Young’s deep expertise in this work through MODS PDX and HONE, along with his vision for the future of construction, aligns with Builders Lab’s mission to drive scalable impact in the housing sector.
The Builders Lab is affiliated with the Terner Center for Housing Innovation at UC Berkeley and has the support of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and JPMorgan Chase & Co.
As part of the Builders Lab, Young will gain access to mentorship, resources, and a network of housing leaders, further equipping him to advance his work in reshaping the housing landscape in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
